This is a fictional autobiography about a Nepal-born, U.S.-raised kid who finishes high school and does the one thing his parents begged him not to do: go back to the Himalayas to "find himself."

What he finds instead is a version of Nepal nobody puts in the tourist brochure — police stations, hospital wards, wrecked motorcycles, and a lot of nights he doesn't fully remember. He survives a few earthquakes. He drinks more than he should. Eventually he gets sober, and somewhere in that mess, a story worth telling shows up.
